Maranatha University Lagos, a private institution established by the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has released its 2025/2026 school fee structure.Β 

Fees vary by faculty and include both tuition and compulsory charges.Β

Maranatha offers the following faculties with accredited programs:

  • FAMS: Arts, Management & Social Sciences

  • FNAS: Natural & Applied Sciences

  • FES: Environmental Sciences

  • FET: Engineering & Technology

  • FBMS: Basic Medical Sciences (includes Nursing, Physiotherapy, Public Health, Health Info Management)

What are the initial fees for fresh students?

Freshers must pay:

  • Application form – ₦10,000

  • Transfer form (if applicable) – ₦20,000

  • Acceptance fee (FBMS only) – ₦50,000

These are payable once and must be completed before generating school-fee invoices.

Others like Health Info Management – tuition ₦625,000; total ~₦1,200,000.

What do ancillary fees include?

Ancillaries cover:

  • Matriculation – ₦10,000

  • ID card – ₦5,000

  • Lab or practical fees – ₦25,000–₦50,000

  • Medical – ₦23,000

  • Departmental handbooks – ₦25,000

  • ICT – ₦25,000

  • Fellowship dues – ₦2,000

  • Certificate verification – ₦10,000

Is hostel accommodation mandatory and how much does it cost?

Yes, for new students who choose on-campus housing:

  • Standard hostel fee – ₦100,000 each session

  • Shared rooms (Okota campus):

    • 8 students – ₦100,000

    • 6 – ₦150,000

    • 4 – ₦200,000

FBMS hostel fee – ₦350,000 (added to tuition).

Can fees be paid in installments?

Yes:

  • FAMS, FNAS, FES, FET: two instalments (60% and 40%) available

  • FBMS:

How are fees paid and are there scholarships?

Students pay via Remita and specified bank accounts only (Zenith, Stanbic IBTC, Keystone).

  • Payments must be made directly to the university’s verified accounts; personal accounts are not allowed.

  • Scholarships apply to tuition only; they exclude accommodation and ancillary fees.
